• The Grove // Summer 2016

I went with Sarah to The Grove and we had a great time listening to songs on the way there and shopping. On the way there we got stuck in traffic because there was a fire near the freeway. As we were passing the fire + the firefighters Sarah waved at them and then said “I love firefighters”. It was a funny moment that I caught on snapchat! 😂 When we actually got there we went to Barnes & Noble and Sarah got some books. We were planning on buying flowers at their Farmer’s Market, but we didn’t find them (we also didn’t hunt for them so they could have…

  • Girls go to Palms Springs // #throwback

Hey guys, I wanted to share with you guys what I did when I went to Palm Springs during my freshman year. At this time I remember being stressed out when we got home from this trip because I didn’t finish my homework and I didn’t want to go to school because of it… Those were the days 😜. I think I didn’t go, but I am not exactly sure. I took my new Fujifilm Instax 8 and took some pictures with that too! I remember this resort being so beautiful! I mean look at the palm trees and architecture! On the way to palm springs we took a mini cooper…

  • A Day in the Sun

Last Saturday we went to Zuma beach and had a great time! I’ve been to the beach about 3-4 times this summer which isn’t very good for a Californian, but I’ll take it. This was the last beach day before school starts and it’s kind of bittersweet! I can’t believe senior year is starting oh so soon. I love this shot of the boys jumping in the water. All the umbrellas just made it feel a bit like we were in Rio for the olympics. I know I seem crazy, but LOOK AT ALL THOSE UMBRELLAS. Posing like baseball boys would 😉 I always end up taking a picture of Alix…

  • Summer Breakfast // Omelette

Recently I decided that an omelette sounded pretty good for breakfast, so I made one! Since it’s summer vacation I have more freedom with what I make for breakfast and I’m trying to enjoy it as much as I can before school starts up again… Here is my version of an omelette: 2 Eggs Garlic Salt Salt + Pepper Cold Cuts (usually turkey or ham) 2 Slices of Cheese Optional: Avocado (for topping) In a small bowl I add the eggs, garlic salt, and salt + pepper. I whisk it with a fork and heat up the pan to cook the eggs in. Once the first side is cooked I flip…

  • Baking Binge

Hello there! A few weeks back I went on a baking binge because it’s summer vacation and I can’t help myself. My fave has been making french macarons because of how delicate and fun they are! I made not one… not two… but three batches of macarons… AHH! My first batch was a coffee macaron with a coffee (mostly chocolate tasting) ganache. It just sounds so fancy! I love iced coffee and coffee ice cream and now I can say I love coffee macarons too! My second batch of macarons (which is now my favorite macaron recipe to date) is a cinnamon roll macaron! The frosting on the inside was…

  • Oxnard Vacation // Mandalay Bay

In mid June my family went to Oxnard for vacation. I ended junior year, my sister ended freshman year, and it was just a celebration of everything in one. We would relax by the beach, put our feet in the water, watch the sunset… It was beautiful. There is something about being by the beach that is so relaxing! I don’t know what it is, but I love it. We also escaped the overwhelming heat. Our town was in the hundreds and Oxnard was about 70 degrees. What a difference! This is where we ate dinner our first night. It was so good! It also had a very pretty view. The…

  • Adventuring with Riley

Today I went with Riley to take pictures of her and just hang out. The first place we met and planned to take pictures was not very good because there was NO SHADE at all (there was also a slight chance of a snake encounter, so that was another issue too). After that we decided to go to the park and it was a WAY better alternative. As we walked further into the park we saw so many people playing Pokemon Go and it was really funny and slightly sad. I did give in and download it and got some new pokemons, but then deleted it. It’s sad that literally…

  • Lemon Poppy Seed [French] Macarons

I love baking and something that I have been practicing is french macarons. It’s honestly the hardest cause you never know how it’ll turn out until its out of the oven. I am always on the edge of my seat when I make them, and that’s probably why I keep trying and trying. The main thing that shows I succeeded is when the macarons have the “feet” on them when baking. If you don’t already know the “feet” is the crinkly/bubbly/flaky looking thing that is around the bottom of the macaron. I have been using the same recipe that I found from YouTube and it is very simple compared to some other…

  • Twin Girls Birthday Party

I had a blast shooting pictures of these dear girls at their birthday party! The play place was absolutely stunning and had so much natural light which made taking pictures so much nicer. My favorite part of the place was the blue sofa that had a beautiful background with pictures, frames, and lovely art. It made for a pretty great Instagram picture(s). The whole theme was princesses and all the decorations were so adorably cute. Honestly, it was just an awesome birthday party and I am so grateful to have taken pictures for the day.

  • Chicago in April // #throwback

In 2014, my family went to Chicago for my cousin’s wedding. By family I don’t mean just my immediate family, but basically all of my cousins on my moms side. I was so excited, cause I hadn’t been to Chicago before. The last time I was on a plane was when I was 3, so I didn’t remember my last plane ride. I love traveling too, which made it SO MUCH FUN. (This blogpost will include iPhone photos as well as my camera photos.) Waiting at the airport we got some macarons and lattes. Then we got on a plane to Chicago, Illinois. When we arrived it was already midnight,…
