Pre-Birthday Celebrations

As I am typing this I am now 19 years old!! How weird is that?! My last year of being a teenager, which is so weird to think about, but so very thankful for this life of mine ❤️. Since my birthday is on a Sunday this year, I decided to celebrate the whole weekend because birthday weekends are fun. I’ve been wanting to go to a farmers market, but it seemed like all the good ones were on a Sunday. I ended up finding the Burbank Farmer’s Market on Yelp and asked my friend Bryana if she wanted to join me. She said she was free, so we planned it and went. Before the actual farmers market we grabbed some coffee and shared an avocado toast which was AMAZING! I ordered the matcha latte as well and it was also delish!

We went to Coffee Commissary in Burbank and I highly recommend it!

Found some of this amazing greenery right before we walked into the coffee shop and had to take a photo in front of it!

After having a delicious breakfast, we went to the Farmer’s Market and I bought a few things including a loaf of sourdough bread, pomegranate kombucha, an almond croissant, and some asian pears. I didn’t take any pictures at the market, but those are the things I bought. We then headed to Melrose Place and adventured around some pretty fun (and VERY pink) places. The first stop was Glossier. From what I know there is only a store in New York and Los Angeles and I am so glad I got to visit the one in LA! The concept of this store is unique because when you checkout, you just order by telling the employee what you want, then you buy the products, and then someone will have a bag ready for you with all your products in it! It’s kind of like ordering something from Starbucks.

They had a room to take this mirror selfie and even had the noises from the place where these mountains are inspired from!

I ended up leaving with the milk jelly cleanser and a balm dot com in “birthday” cause I thought that was fitting! I wish I bought more things, but my wallet would not have loved that 😂.

After shopping for a bit, we passed by Alfred Coffee, which I have never been to and just wanted to stop by. It was pretty busy in there, but one day maybe I’ll buy something from there! Glad I got to see the inside!

Then was a stop to one of my favorite places, Alfred Tea Room! I realized I haven’t been there since my 17th birthday and I’m glad I changed that. This place has millennial pink EVERYWHERE and I’m not mad about it. Their teas and overall look is beautiful! I ordered a rose milk tea with boba and loved it! We did sit there for a bit and just sat down to relax from all the adventuring that just happened.

After this we then went to Muji and Miniso in Hollywood. I didn’t take any pictures there, but we mostly just shopped and saw too many tourists which made me wanna run out of that area. I had such a fun time spending the day with Bryana getting to visit places I don’t always get to see AND celebrating 19 years of life!
