Summer Breakfast // Omelette
Recently I decided that an omelette sounded pretty good for breakfast, so I made one! Since it’s summer vacation I have more freedom with what I make for breakfast and I’m trying to enjoy it as much as I can before school starts up again…
Here is my version of an omelette:
- 2 Eggs
- Garlic Salt
- Salt + Pepper
- Cold Cuts (usually turkey or ham)
- 2 Slices of Cheese
- Optional: Avocado (for topping)
In a small bowl I add the eggs, garlic salt, and salt + pepper. I whisk it with a fork and heat up the pan to cook the eggs in.
Once the first side is cooked I flip it so the eggs can fully cook.
After I flip it I add the “filling” (I don’t really know what else to call it 😜) on one of the edges. I start with the 1 slice of cheese first and then the meat/cold cuts and then 1 slice of cheese again so that the omelette can stick together. Pretend the cheese is like glue.
I then proceed to flip it over from the side that has nothing on it onto the side with the kind-of melted cheese.
You’re basically finished now! This part is optional, but you can add some avocado on the top for some added texture and good fats. I like tea with my omelette and then some sort of fruit. If you want you can also get some pita bread (like I did) and put some of the omelette in there… but again it’s totally optional.
Enjoy ✌︎
