Malibu Adventures

In 2016, Alix, Sarah, and I went to Malibu Pier and adventured in that area during Spring Break. This year, I wanted to keep the tradition and asked Alix if she wanted to go to the beach and she said “YES”. I wanted to go to a couple places because it’s fun to find new places. Yelp is what I use to find new places, if anyone was curious.

I have seen people go to SunLife before and was very interested in trying it out! It was our first stop of the day. I ordered the Brazilian Bowl, and it was delicious! I did not know this, but outside the place was a cute wall that says “LOVE” made out of a bush! There was also a bouquet of balloons that is kinda like those angel walls scattered in various places in LA. The only bad thing about this day was when we were at SunLife and a sort of creepy man walked up to us and asked us to buy him ice cream. At 10 o’clock in the morning…

After our breakfast endeavors, we headed to Point Dume, which is a sort of secluded beach area. It is very rocky, but it is so nice and beautiful! It is known for this huge cliff that people were actually rock climbing when we were there (which was pretty cool to see).

Look at how tiny that man looks climbing this huge cliff!

Being at the beach is so peaceful and relaxing. It was so nice just to sit down on a blanket that’s on the sand and look at the water. Also, when being at the beach, there are tons of pictures being taken. I have never been that type of girl to get a lot of pictures taken of herself, but today was not that day (cause let’s be honest, I needed a new profile picture 😂).

Cafe Habana is one of our Spring Break traditions. Last time we came in 2016, I ordered the shrimp tacos, and this time I ordered the Blackened Chicken Sandwich and OH MY GOSH it was amazinggg! I never hype up food too much, but this sandwich was bomb. I think I liked it so much because it had some vinegar in it (and I love vinegar, especially salt + vinegar chips). This place holds some dear memories for me and I am excited to go again next year during Spring Break and get my hands on that Blackened Chicken Sandwich again!

Here it is in all of its glory 😍

April 5, 2018 was one for the books. I drove so much that day, but made so many fun memories with people I love dearly. I am grateful.
