Birthday Bonanza
Hello friends! A few weeks back it was my 17th birthday and my family and I celebrated. I love adventuring and we definitely did exactly that. The first adventure of the day was buying macarons. It was a treat because I usually make my own, but this time I got to choose already made ones with a variety of flavors.
Our second thing on the to-do list was lunch at a Japanese BBQ place in the mall. I wanted to go to a place like that and I’m so grateful I did! (FYI if you didn’t know already Japanese/Korean BBQ is when you cook the meat yourself on a grill that is at your table; it’s literally the best!)
Thirdly (is that even a word?) we went to Alfred Tea Room because I just fell in love with this place when I went my first time. I blogged about it place already about a month ago and was just itching to go back. This time around I got a Matcha Green Tea with Boba and it was delish! Fun fact: matcha can boost your metabolism! Alfred just makes me happy cause it’s so pretty and I CAN’T EVEN 😂
Our last trip on this great day was to the Santa Monica Pier & Third Street Promenade. I love how these pictures turned out because the sun was slowly setting and I just love the lighting. We walked on the pier, went on the Ferris wheel, and had encounters with sketchy strangers 😅
At the end of the day we were ready to go home. Let me warn you that Santa Monica is not a pretty scene on a Saturday night. Even though we were a little freaked out I still had a great time that day and am thankful for another year of life!
