‘Tis the Season
Now that Thanksgiving is over, Christmas is here and I am super stoked! I love those cold nights listening to christmas music in the car to drinking hot cocoa at home in a cozy blanket watching cheesy Hallmark movies. This season is gonna be bittersweet cause it is the last Christmas break I will look forward to in high school.
I have been into hand lettering ever since my freshman year of high school and it has changed my handwriting in the best way #thankful. I have watched many of those Instagram videos of people writing a Bible verse or a cute little phrase and it is so fun to see how it’s made! I was inspired by all the videos so I picked up a Crayola marker and wrote festive things (and maybe some Gilmore Girl inspired things too). At first it was challenging in the sense that it was a bit different from what I usually do and once I got the hang of it it became natural and SUPER FUN. These are two things that I made that I liked the outcome of!(there are more but i didn’t get a chance to take a picture of them).
In the future I might post more about hand lettered things I’ve made and maybe give a few tips. I just thought it would be fun to share with you guys what I have been creating with my hands, a marker, and paper. Something I learned from today is that you don’t need those expensive brushes to make something beautiful because you can just use a Crayola marker (which you probably already have somewhere in you house) and be creative.
